Living Waters Consultants provided Hydraulic Modeling and Engineering Services for a Dam Breach Analysis. Warren Levis Lake is a 35-acre lake with a 530 acre-feet storage capacity. The drainage area is 5.5 square miles. Modeling studies included Hydrologic Evaluations using HEC-1, and Hydraulic FEQ modeling analysis. Permit submittals were coordinated with Illinois DNR / OWR for dam breach scenarios. Flood events analyzed ranging from the 100-year flood to the 1.0 Probable Maximum Flood. The analysis extended approximately 3 miles downstream of the dam spillway area.
