Living Waters Consultants has served as Watershed Coordinator for the Silver Creek Watershed Committee since 2016. LWC helped the SCWC to obtain grant funding and to complete the Illinois EPA approved Silver Creek Watershed-Based Management Plan. The watershed plan included the 10.6 square mile watershed which includes seven muninipalities, two counties, and several government agencies. LWC also serves as Watershed Coordinator for ongoing quarterly watershed meetings. Our goal is to improve the water quality, stream health, and flood control benefits within the Silver Creek watershed. Additional activities in addition to our quarterly educational meetings include the development of potential grant funding opportunities for all of our qualified stakeholders. For example, two phases of stream corridor restoration construction have either been completed or are underway within the Silver Creek riparian area.
